Microsoft is back with IE 9! 2.3 million downloads in a day!

Microsoft has finally managed to create a browser which can go toe to toe with its counterparts like Firefox and Opera. It has great features such as hardware acceleration, tabbed browsing etc.

It was made available for download on March 15 and the download count reached 2.3 million in just 24 hours! What makes this number even more impressive is the fact that Internet Explorer 9 is a Vista/7 only browser. It cannot be used on Windows XP or any other OS. Thus, Microsoft is quite pleased with the results.
